Via Steve Rubel, learned of and became quite excited by Blogdigger’s new local search feature. It’s a great idea, but still has a ways to go — the top result for Dallas and/or 75201 told me that the guys from Hypergene were in Dallas. And they were — several years ago.
Others had similar experiences.
To pull local blogs, layered over a good topical filter. That would be mind-blowing.
UPDATE: In the comments, someone from Blogdigger points out that Hypergene’s tags still indicate a Dallas locale, and that they’re still improving their filters. Perhaps they should put a beta tag on the site.
